Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Wulong / Longshuixia Rift / Fairy Lady Mountain National Forest Park (-/ L/ D)
After breakfast, you will be picked up in your hotel to enjoy a full-day excursion to Wulong, an important part of South China Karst Landscape, which is about 180km from Chongqing and was named as a world natural heritage by UNESCO in 2007. On arrival, you will start from Longshuixia Rift, a geographic miracle. Along this 2km walk, you can see the deep gorge, steep wall and dense vegetation. Then you will move to Fairy Lady Mountain National Forest Park, 2033 meters above sea level and known as "Eastern Switzerland". Peaks, valleys, forests and grasslands as integration make the scenery extraordinary and a walk through mountain-top grassland will be your highlight. Stay overnight in Wulong.
Day 2: Three Natural Bridges / Furong Cave (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast, you will continue you tour in Wulong. Firstly you will proceed to the Three Natural Bridges which constitute the largest natural bridge cluster in Asia. The natural karst bridges are quite high and grand, a sight rarely seen anywhere in the world. Next, go to visit Furong Cave, a large limestone cave with 1846.8 m in length, 30 - 50 m in width. It abounds with various karst sediments forming many splendid natural wonders and together with Mammoth Cave in the US, and Graeme’s Cave in France, was named one of 'The Three Greatest Caves in the World'. After this, you will be driven back to Chongqing.
Day 3: Chongqing Zoo / People's Congress Hall / Eling Park / Ciqikou Ancient Town (B/ L/ -)
Today you will enjoy a full-day city tour in Chongqing City. It starts from Chongqing Zoo, located in the western suburbs of Chongqing. There are more than 230 kinds of rare wild animals on display in the zoo and the pandas are always the focus among all the residents in the zoo. Then head for People's Congress Hall, which was built in 1954 as a conference hall to commemorate Chongqing's important wartime role. It is inspired by Beijing's Temple of Heaven with three tiers of red-pillared eaves beneath a blue canopied roof. Then you will move to the Eling Park (Goose Neck Park), where offers a grand view of both the city and the roiling Yangtze River. After that, you will have lunch and take a good rest. In the afternoon, you will continue to Ciqikou Old Town, which was founded 1700 years ago on the banks of Jialing Jiang and a famous porcelain production center during the Ming Dynasty. It was once the home of many of Chongqing's rich merchants, where you can still see lots of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, local shops, tea houses, local Sichuan street performance and so on. After your trip, you will be transferred back to Chongqing.
