By this tow-day tour in Chongqing, you will visit two typical attractions, Dazu Grottoes, which is the only ones that were implemented according to an overall design among over 100 grottoes in China, and Dinosaur Fossil Museum. Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival / Chongqing / Dazu Grottoes / Hot Pot (-/ L/ D)

Today you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After a short rest, you will go to visit the Dazu Grottoes. Dazu County enjoys the reputation of "the county of rock carving" and the Dazu Grottoes are of the highest artistic attainment and demonstrate the most exquisite skills. Among the rock carvings, there are more than 5,000 statues and over100, 000 Chinese characters of inscriptions and epigraphs. You will firstly visit the Baodingshan Mountain Grotto which is the best preserved one and is a key cultural relic site under state protection. Then you will go to visit the grottoes of Beishan, Nanshan, Shizhuanshan and Shimenshan. Dazu Grottoes are very famous because they are the only ones that were implemented according to an overall design among over 100 grottoes in China. In the afternoon you will take a car back to Chongqing. "Beautiful night piece, delicious hot pot and elegant lady" are three symbols of Chongqing. Tonight you will enjoy the night piece and hot pot by yourself. Finally, have a good rest in the evening.

Day 2: Dinosaur Fossil Museum / Departure (B/ L/ -)

This morning you will be transferred to the Dinosaur Fossil Museum in Zigong City and enjoy your trip today. The Dinosaur Fossil Museum is the first specialized dinosaur museum in China and one of the world's three largest dinosaur museums. You will find a great quantity and diversity of types of buried fossil including the rare specimens here. Visiting the museum, you will know deeply about the general knowledge of fossils which is introduced in the exhibition. In addition, you can go down into an underground room and touch the fossils of ancient life, see the circumstances of the layers and the ores. After finishing your trip, you will be transferred to the Chongqing airport and departure of Chongqing.
