Tour Features: By this tour, you will not only visit the ancient capital Nanjing, but also have a tour in picturesque Suzhou and Canal Towns of Luzhi and Zhouzhuang. Canal Towns are well-known for their typical Southern Chinese river-side scenery featured by small bridges, murmuring streams and elegant dwellings, and are the ideal destinations for relaxation and holiday-spending. You can experience the ancient cultures and architectures in China and be shocked by the beautiful and attractive sceneries in Southern China.

Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival / Nanjing (-/ L/ D)

You'll be welcomed at Nanjing Airport and transferred to the hotel. Then visit the Presidential Palace. It was the mansion of Prince of Han during the Ming Dynasty. In 1912, Dr. Sun Yat-sen was elected the Provisional President of the Republic, and changed the west garden of the palace into the Presidential Residence. Later you will visit Xiyuan Garden, which is another famed classical garden in Nanjing. It was built during the Daoguang Reign (1821-1850) of the Qing Dynasty. In the afternoon you will visit Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum-the mausoleum of Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and his wife Empress Ma. Then pay a visit to Confucius Temple-a place to worship and consecrate Confucius, the great philosopher and educator of ancient China. After that, you will cruise on Qinhuai River-a branch of the Yangtze River, running about 110 kilometers, a major watercourse around Nanjing City. The last stop is the beautiful Xuanwu Lake-the most famous lake in Nanjing.

Day 2: Nanjing / Wuxi / Suzhou (B/ L/ D)

Drive to Wuxi. At first, you will visit Liyuan Garden-one of the famous gardens for lake scenery in China. Then you will go to see Lingshan Buddha Statue. It is a bronze Sakyamuni standing Buddha outdoor, weighing over 700 tons. It was built in the end of 1996. It is one of the largest Buddha statues in China. Lake Tai is the third largest freshwater lake in China. Later you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Tai by ship. Afterwards, drive to Suzhou.

Day 3: Suzhou / Luzhi / Zhouzhuang (B/ L/ -)

Today, you will visit the world famous garden city-Suzhou. In the morning you will visit Lion Forest Garden, which is famous for the numerous artificial hills made of pebbles in the garden. Then go to visit the water towns near Suzhou-Luzhi and Zhouzhuang, both of them are the top ancient water towns in China. After that, drive back to Suzhou and you will be transferred to the airport.
