Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Beijing (-, L, -)
Today your tour delicately starts from Hutong, which is an ancient alley or lane typical in Beijing, formed the residential area, dispearing quickly. You can bicycle or ride rickshaws down narrow lanes and alleyways, passing vegetable markets, traditional medicine shops and tiny, wooden teahouses. Hutong is where the civilian lived, and telling the story of the rest.
Then you will go to Xiushui Jie Market (Silk Alley Market)-once was a crowded alley where vendors sold fake goods. But now it is a new building with 5 stories and 1500 stalls of pure tourist-targeted copycat goods.
Next you will continue to Panjiayuan Second-Hand Market, a holiday market where second-hand goods, handicrafts, collections and ornaments are traded. Dashilan, literally means "big fence" is the following place you go. It was a commercial center of Beijing more than five hundred and eighty years ago and is the oldest and perhaps one of Beijing's most fascinating streets to explore.
