Today you will enjoy the majestic tombs of Qing Dynasty. After your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy Qingdongling (Eastern Qing Mausoleums),located 125 km northwest of Beijing, are among the finest and largest extant Mausoleum complexes in China. They are the sacred burial grounds of Qing emperors, empresses and imperial concubines. The construction of the tombs was begun in the second year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1663) and the main tombs housing as it does 5 emperors and 1 emperess. In addition, four Mausoleums containing the remains of 136 imperial concubines and one Mausoleum for princesses are also located here.
Afterwards, you will move to Qingxiling (Western Qing Mausoleums), located at the southern foot of the Yongning Mountains and 125 km southwest of Beijing. The whole Mausoleum complex contains the tombs of four Qing emperors, three empresses, seven princes and a number of imperial concubines. Western Qing Mausoleums was founded in 1730 and finished in 1915. The 400 cemetery buildings were constructed over the course of two centuries. You can appreciate the essence of spectacular architectures and exquisite sculptures of Qing Dynasty.
