Guiyang,(Chinese: 贵阳；pinyin: guìyáng): founded during the Han era, is the capital city of Guizhou Province, located in the southwest of China, on the eastern side of the Yungui Plateau. Guiyang is an easy-going city with many beautiful mountains and rivers. It is home to more than 30 minority ethnic groups including Miao, Buyi, Dong and Hui, etc. The climate is often mild and humid, neither extremely hot nor very cold. Spring, summer and autumn are the best seasons for visiting Guiyang. The special local products include Guiyangdaqu liquor, cigarettes, and Zhumaojiao liquor.
