Shenzhen(Chinese: 深圳; pinyin: Shēnzhèn) is one of the best city in economic efficiency of mainland China being only inferior to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Shenzhen, situated in the southern coastal of Guangdong Province, 160 kilometers away from the capital city—Guangzhou, used to be a small fishing village, however, it became a prosperous modern city over the past 20 years after it designated as a special economic zone by the central government in 1980. Nowadays, the special economic zone has created an economic miracle in China with a very fast pace of development.
Shenzhen is the most important gateways for our country contacting with the world and it is the only city owning sea, air and land port together. People all admire Shenzhen as a city of hope, a city full of opportunities, a city drawing thousands of talented people from across the country and around the world, and a city with modern skyscrapers, and shopping malls.

It is very interesting that the most quiet time in Shenzhen is during the Spring Festival, which is so different from other cities because the people who work there will come back home celebrating with family and the local people with go to Hongkong for visiting. On the contrary, the city festival, Litchi Festival in Shenzhen is the most festival with jollification. The festival is hold on 28th of June to 8th to July, if you tour on that time, you can taste different kinds of delicious litchis around China.
