| Baoguo Temple (Chinese: 报国寺;pinyin: bàoguósì): Located at the foot of Mt. Emei, Baoguo Temple is the largest temple on the mountain. Build during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Baoguo Temple is home to the Mt. Emei Buddhist Society. The massive bronze bell, cast during the Ming dynast, is rung with a large swinging tree trunk and is said to be audible for 16 km (10 miles). |
