| Jinsha Site Museum(chinese: 金沙遗址博物馆, Pinyin: jīnshā yízhǐ bówùguǎn): The Jinsha Site Museum is a place for visitors to closely observe the excavation of archeological spot and a perfect place to learn the glorious Chinese culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom. It covers a total area of over 300,000 square meters and hosts one of the largest archaeological museums in China.
Over 6,000 pieces of cultural relics with sophisticated craftsmanship, like gold plates, jade articles, stone wares, bronzes wares and ivories of Kingdom of Shu (221-236) have been unearthed from the Jinsha Remains. Among them the Holy Bird is the most famous one that has become the sign of China Cultural Heritage.
The museum is divided into five sections: Relic Hall, Exhibition Hall, Protection Center of Cultural Relics, Garden District and Tourist Receiving Center. |
