Yading Nature Preserve

Yading Nature Reserve, a region is known for its pristine environment, beautiful scenery, and exotic wildlife.
Yading (Chinese: 亚丁；pinyin: yǎdīng): Yading Nature Reserve is home of three sacred Tibetan mountains - Chenresig (Avalokitesvara, 6032m), Jambeyang (Manjusri, 5958m), and Chanadorje (Vajrapani, 5958m). Tibetan Buddhists believe that making a kora (pilgrimage) around these mountains brings great merit, and that the three mountains represent compassion, wisdom and energy. The reserve embodies gorgeous natural beauty and is particularly famous for its ancient relics of ice mass-the “Daocheng Ancient Ice Cap”. Daocheng, or Rice City, was named “Daoba” (Paddy Dam) in ancient times, and means “the land exposed to the sun” in local Tibetan language. From Yading, 1145 lakes as green as jade of the high altitudes are scattered among the craggy ripraps, constituting an imposing view in front of you.
