Huangguoshu Waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfall is one of the largest waterfall groups in China and the largest waterfall in Asia.

(Chinese: 黄果树瀑布；pinyin: huángguǒshùpùbù): Huangguoshu Waterfall is located on the Baihe River (白水河) in Anshun, Guizhou Province. During the summer rains in June and July the river becomes a torrent, 74 meters (243 feet) high and 81 meters (266 feet) wide water creates an awesome spectacle. It is one of the largest waterfall groups in China and the largest waterfall in Asia. There are mainly three National Parks in the Huangguoshu National Park: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave and Rhinoceros Pool (Xi Niu Tan). Huangguoshu Waterfalls Cluster: Huangguoshu is the best known of some 18 in a cluster of waterfalls. Water-Curtain Cave: The Water-Curtain Cave named "Shuiliandong" (水帘洞) in Chinese is a 134 m (440 ft) long naturally formed cave located in the back of the waterfall, where natural "windows" look out through the curtain of water. Therefore, Huangguoshu is worthy of the name " Land of Waterfalls in China".
