Go Believe

The Go Believe Steamed Stuffed Bun is the three top snacks of Tianjin along with the Shiba Jie Mahua (fried dough twist) and the Erduoyan Zhagao which has a history of more than 150 years.

Tianjin Go Believe (Chinese: 狗不理; pinyin: Gǒu Bù Lǐ) Baozi is the new name of the Goubuli Steamed Stuffed Bun in Tianjin, which is famous not only in China but also in the foreign countries.

With a history of over 150 years, the Go Believe Steamed Stuffed Bun is the three top snacks of Tianjin along with the Shiba Jie Mahua (fried dough twist) and the Erduoyan Zhagao. Goubuli – which means "dog doesn't like (it)" in Chinese, was the nickname of the chef who first began making these stuffed buns, and Baozi means steamed stuffed bun.

The Go Believe Steamed Stuffed Buns are known for their generous fillings, which are succulent and not greasy. Now its chain restaurants can be found in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and other cities in China as well as cities in America, Japan and Korea.

Although you can find these steamed stuffed buns (Bao zi) almost everywhere in China, Go Believe is still the hardest to make (involving eight steps) and is consequently the most favored one among its peers. The Go Believe in Tianjin is the oldest and most delicious compared to other places, so if you go to visit Tianjin, don't miss this ideal food.
