| (Chinese: 克孜尔尕哈烽火台;pinyin: kèzīěrgǎhā fēnghuǒtái): Kizilgaha Beacon Tower was built around 60 BC in the West Han dynasty. In fact, a number of beacon towers were set up on the Silk Road by the central goverment of West Han dynasty to ensure the smoothness of trade and military. Kizilgaha Beacon Tower is the best-preserved beacon tower on the Silk Road now. The remain is made of earth and the wooden fence on the top still can be found. It is 15 m high, 6 m long, and 4.5 m wide. |
