Dadieshui Waterfall (Chinese: 大叠水瀑布;Pinyin:Dàdiéshǔipùbù), also called “Flying Dragon Waterfall”, is 25 kilometers southwestern to Shilin County. The water rushes down over a 30 meter wide section of cliff at 150 cubic meters per second down 88 meters to the rocks. The waterfall is the largest waterfall in Yunnan Province.
When the water hits the rocks below, the water splashes into the sinking mists. In the sunny day, the sinking mists change to a colorful rainbow. To contrast with rocks and hills, a fascinating picture will appear in front of you. The deep pool at the foot of the waterfall is crystal clear and is an attractive place for travelers.
The Qingshui Valley which is near Dadieshui Waterfall is surrounded by green trees with lots of flying butterflies. The rocks have great variety of shapes and forms, for example, lion shape and turtle shape.
The Dadieshui Waterfall is full of power and grandeur. Combined with the quite and elegant Qingshui Valley, this marvelous scene will be more attractive.
