Twin Dragon Bridge

Twin Dragon Bridge is the only one ancient bridge in Yunnan which has the highest artistic value. It is the essence full of Yunnan people’s wisdom and high technology and is also a masterpiece in the history of bridges of China and even of the world.
Twin Dragon Bridge (Chinese: 双龙桥；Pinyin：Shuānglóngqiáo) is situated in Jianshui acrossing the confluence of the Tachong River and the Lu River. Twin Dragon Bridge, also called “17-Arch Bridge” is one of the most well-known relics in Yunnan Province. It started to build in the reign of Emperor Qianlong with 3 arches and other 14 arches were built in the period of Daoguang of Qing Dynasty. The bridge is 153m long and 3m wide. The unsophisticated and elegant architectural style makes the bridge unique and delicate. Twin Dragon Bridge is the only one ancient bridge in Yunnan which has the highest artistic value.
