White Pagoda Hill Park

It is one of the landmarks of Lanzhou. Tourists can get a bird's-eye view of the whole city from the top of the White Pagoda Hill.
The White Pagoda (Chinese: 白塔山公园；pinyin: báitǎshāngōngyuán) was to the north of the Yellow River and is one of the landmarks of Lanzhou. It takes its name from the 13-century pagoda, Bai Ta (white pogoda), which was built as part of a temple at the hill's summit. The pagoda is a 17 meters high, 7 storyed octagonal pagoda. In 1958, the mountain was opened as a public park. Steps have been carved into the steep slppes and chair lifts take visitors to the top from inside the park to get a bird's-eye view of the whole city.
