Maozedong Memorial Hall (Chinese: 毛泽东纪念堂; pinyin: Máozédōng Jìniàntáng) is an ideal place to commemorate Chairman Mao and his great achievement as well as his lofty spirit.

Shaoshan Maozedong Memorial Hall, built and opened to the public in 1964, has 13 rooms, with a combined floor space of 2,000 square meters. The exhibits of the hall include 100 pieces of Maozedong’s manuscripts and 72 items of Mao's personal belongings. The memorial hall includes the Chairman Mao's Residence, the grave of his parents, the old address of Chairman Mao’s school and the youth statue of Chairman Mao and so on, altogether 8 visiting scenic spots.

The layout of the memorial hall follows to the principle of “Rustic appearance, urban content”. According to this one principle, the whole building creates a farmhouse style with the harmony of Suzhou gardener’s style.
