Mengdonghe River (Chinese: 猛洞河; pinyin: Měngdònghé Piāoliú) is praised as “The first float in China” by the famous social activist Mr. Fei Xiao Tong after his float on the Mengdonghe River at his age of 82.

Mengdonghe River is located 80 kilometers southeast of Zhangjiajie City, nestled among mountains, a remote canyon towering limestone cliffs, a beautiful river that’s ranked among the top ones in China. The whole floating distance of Mengdonghe River is 47 kilometers with the 17 kilometers most exciting upper stream floating. Started from Hani Palace, going downwards along the river, a small boat, is going through waves passing “Triangular Rock”, “Chicken House Gate”, “Earth waterfall”, “Yanwang Beach”, “Luoshui Pond”, “Mengsi Valley”, etc, totally several dozens of scenic spots.

The second limestone area on the way of the flows, Kesite ground boasts lots of beautiful sceneries. Along the both bank of the river, the limestone caves are found everywhere, mountains are in ranges, trees are verdant, and waterfalls are beautiful while the river is all in curves and the water is crystal. In the bended river, you can sing songs, play in water, or fight against waves, just relax and you will enchanted by the beautiful scenery and feel joyful.
