Kuaiyan Temple, which covers an area of 78,000 square meters, is the largest Buddhist Temple in Fujian province. It is 260 meters long and 300 meters wide. The most famous building of Kuaiyan Temple is Twin Pagodas(West Pagoda-Renshou Pagoda and East Pagoda- Zhenguo Pagoda), which is the landmark of Quanzhou city. They are the highest stone twin pagodas in China. There are numerous other stone carvings in the temple -- figures resembling the Sphinx, animal heads and birds, dragons and tigers. Interestingly there are columns here in ancient Greek style.
