Sandie Spring
|
Sandie Spring is full of power and grandeur while beautiful and exquisite, reputed as the “first wonder of Lushan Mountain”. |
Sandie Spring (Chinese: 三叠泉; pinyin: Sāndié Quán), also known as Three Step Spring, is formed by spring water flowing down two huge rocks and it is reputed as the “first wonder of Lushan Mountain”.
A saying goes that: “If you don’t go to visit the Sandie Spring, you will not be the real guest of Lushan Mountain.” The beauty of the thunderous fall was a favorite subject for many ancient poets and scholars.
Originating in Dayue Mountain, the spring angles around the backside of Five Old Men Peak and pours into Nine Tier Gully, crashing twice upon rocks, and then converges into a torrent and drops once again. Driven by the gully wind, the tiny drops dance in the misty air, which sparkles in the sunlight and falls like countless dazzling pearls.
Sandie Spring is full of power and grandeur and boats lots of scenic spots there, including the Jiudie Screen, Yuchuan Door and Tianmen Pond and so on. All of these form Sandie Spring an ideal paradise for travel, leisure as well as conference. |
