Sanya Bay

Sanya Bay is the longest bay in Sanya City which is honored as Asian First Seaside Avenue.

Sanya Bay (Chinese: 三亚湾; pinyin: Sānyàwān) is the longest bay in Sanya with 20 kilometers seaside avenue which is honored as Asian First Seaside Avenue. Along the avenue, one side is the golden beach with a broad ocean boulevard and the coconut dream corridor, the other side is the hotels and villas with beautiful sea- view beside the road. Sanya Bay is located about 3 kilometers from the center of Sanya City.

Neighboring to the Sanya Bay sits two islands, Eastern Island and Western Island. The Eastern Island is not very suitable for swimming as the international harbor of Phoenix Harbor located here. In Contrary, the Western Island is a pleasant place for swimming and visiting for its calm water and highlight attraction. The Western Island is well known as the biggest and best angling club of Sanya, where you can reach by motorboat for angling if you are interesting in it. Unlike the Eastern Island, the Western Island is famous for its limpid sea water and various bent hoses, popular for experience of scuba diving, and water sports.

Because the bay is very near the downtown, people like to go there for walk and watch the sunset after dinner. You can see the fishermen trawling and hear their working songs resounding to the sky.
