No.1 Bathing Beach(Chinese:第一海滨浴场；pinyin:dìyīhǎibīnyùchǎng) Qingdao has seven public beaches, and No. 1 is the biggest. As one of the largest public beaches in China, it attracts huge crowds along its hundreds of meters of shoreline during the summer months, who come to sunbathe and swim under the watchful eye of some of the country's only lifeguards. The gentle slope and mild waves make the place a comfortable play area. Number One Bathing Beach, packed with equipment rentals and amusements of all kinds, is 800 meters long and draws unbeleviable crowds during the summer months. As one of the venues for the Qingdao International Beer Festival, it provides summer entertainment for the whole family. Although surrounded by restaurants and hotels, Zhongshan Park (zhōng shān gōng yuán: 中山公园), Huiquan Cinemas (huì quán yǐng chéng: 汇泉影城), and Small Fish Hill (xiǎo yú shān: 小鱼山) are all within walking distance.
