Shaanxi Museum of History or Provincial Museum(chin. 陕西省博物馆, Pinyin: Shǎnxīshěng lìshǐ bówùguǎn) is of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China. The museum exhibits over 3,000 historical relics which is just a fraction of their collection. Most of the exhibited items are rare treasures, showing you the splendid Chinese culture.
Shaanxi History Museum, which located in an area 2 kilometers northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the ancient city Xi'an, is the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China, and has been called the "bright pearl of ancient city, treasure house of China." The museum houses over 300,000 items including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects. The modern museum was built between 1983 and 2001 and its appearance recalls the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. It displays the development process of Chinese civilization systematically.
