Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (chin.上海科技馆, Pinyin: Shànghǎi kējìguǎn) is an important base in Shanghai for science education and spiritual civilization construction.

The total floor area of the museum is 98,000 square meters. It has 12 theme exhibition halls, 4 special movie theatres, 6 new-media theatres, 2 anaglyptic art galleries, animal’s world, spiders, natural collections and facilities of popular science market, temporary exhibition, multifunctional hall, lecture hall, bank and restaurant, ect.
The museum focuses on the theme of “Nature, Human, Science and Technology”, and its demonstration contents concern universe, life, wisdom, creation, and future. From the cell and gene to the universe, the fundamental principles of science and the outstanding scientific achievements have the vivid expressions here.
