The Silver Cave(chinese:银子岩, Pinyin: Yínzīyán),located about 85km from Guilin and 3km to Yangshuo, is a multi-storied karst cave. The cave is deep and irregular, with a great number of stalactites of thousand charms, which, in lights glint like silver, hence the name of the cave. These majestic, diamond-like stalactites decorate the cave and make it into a dazzling place. At present, about 2kilometers of the cave has been presented to tourists, including the lower cave, the grand hall and the upper cave. The surrounding mountains, pointed jade-like hills, scattering peach trees and flaming wide flowers make the silver cave resort appear to be a huge natural pot.A visit here is often escorted by the fragrance from the flowers and the mellow fruits. There many outstanding scenic spots:- the Waterfalls on Snow Hill, the Heavenly Screen of Music, the Deep Moon Palace, Three Treasures of the Buddha, The Pearl-decorated Umbrella and the Solitary Pillar Propping up the Sky.
The underground river which can be explored, winds its way through the mountain, full of twists and turns, mysterious and tranquil. Fisherman can be seen clearly in the still river water. The scenery on the river banks is picturesque. Tourists can sail to the Green Lake in the open air from the river.
