It is a fertile alpine grassland surrounded by mountains on four sides and a natural prairie for Tibetan people.
Sangke Grassland (Chinese: 桑科草原；pinyin: sāngkē cǎoyuán) is a fertile alpine grassland surrounded by mountains on four sides and a natural prairie for Tibetan people. In summer, the grassland looks like a green carpet with grass turn green, variety of flowers are in full boom. Sangke Grassland is famous for its verdant grass and beautiful scenery with blue sky, fluffy clouds, vast lush grassland dotted with herds of sleep and cattle. Visitors can travel by bicycle or on horseback. It is possible to stay overnight with a local family or to rent a tent and experience Tibetan food such as yak-butter tea, stuffed steamed buns, mutton, and Zanba (a traditional Tibetan staple food of roasted highland barley flour).
