Nalati grassland, a national scenic area, sits in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountain on the east end of Yili Valley.
(Chinese:那拉提大草原；pinyin: nàlātí dàcǎoyuán): Nalati grassland, a national scenic area, sits in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountain on the east end of Yili Valley. It is one of the four major river valley grasslands in the mountain around the world and the most beautiful and charming grassland in Xinjiang. Every year from June to September is the golden season on the grassland and all kinds of wild flowers with red, yellow, blue and purple color are in full bloom all over the hills which makes here a sea of flowers. It is also a very important summer pasture and becoming a popular place for tourists.
