Zhangye Danxia Landform

It is one of top seven most beautiful Danxia Landform in China.
Zhangye Danxia Landform (Chinese: 张掖丹霞地貌；pinyin: zhāngyè dānxiádìmào) is one of top seven most beautiful Danxia Landform in China and is concentrated in Linze and Sunan Counties in Gansu province. It is both the largest and the most typical Danxia Landform in China and only can be seen in the arid areas of Gansu and Qinghai provinces. Zhangye Danxia Landform covers an area about 300 square kilometres and they are surrounded by colorful hills, which seem to rise and fall like waves; with rocks stratas of different colors mixed in graceful disarray. Because this area is dry and desolate, and without any vegetation, the geologists call this "window lattice and palace-shaped topography".
