The Relics of Shang Dynasty(Chinese:商城遗址;pinyin:shāngchéngyízhǐ)located in the suburb of Zhengzhou, covers an area of 25 square kilometers. It is a city relics in the early Shang Dynasty ahead of the "Ruins of Yin Dynasty in Anyang "with a history of over 3,600 years. Archaeologists have found ruins of house foundations, cellars, water wells, ditches, and graves. Ornaments and tools made of bronze, stone, bone, shell, and jade were found on the site, as well as pottery and primitive china. The ruins of a giant palace have been found within the city, and a large number of rare and precious cultural relics have been unearthed outside the city. In 1961, it became one of the important preservations of cultural relics of the State. The find of the relics of the Shang City can provide the rare materials in kind for studying Slave Society and the forming and development of Chinese ancient cities.
