Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Guilin (-, L, -)
Upon arrival Guilin, you will be met at Guilin Airport or Guilin Train Station by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel by the private car. Later start from the hotel to the Reed Flute Cave, which is located 5 km northwest of Guilin city and got its name by the reeds used for making flutes growing at its entrance. The cave is known as "the Palace of the Nature Arts" and regarded as the most impressive cave in Guilin city for the remarkable limestone formation with imaginative lighting. Then move on to the Elephant Trunk Hill, 50 meters' high, which is regarded as the symbol of Guilin city because of its natural beauty. Everyone can see easily that the whole rock looks like a giant elephant leisurely sipping water from the river with its long trunk.
Day 2: Li River Cruise (B, L, -)
Pick up from your hotel early in the morning. Then drive about half an hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier for a 4-hour' cruise on Li River, the highlight of sightseeing tour in Guilin with lunch aboard. You will enjoy the beautiful mountains, verdant fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Disembark at the old town Yangshuo, a county of Guilin, famous for its spectacular views of hills and rivers with famous bar streets. In the afternoon explore the old town freely and stay in Yangshuo overnight.
Day 3: Yangshuo (B, -, -)
Cycling along the beautiful Yulong River (Meeting Dragon River) which is a major tributary of Li River flows through some of the most beautiful Karst (limestone) scenery near Yangshuo, taking in local villages and rice paddies. Local people use rafts as daily transportation up and down the river between house, markets, and rice paddies. Sitting on the reclining chair on the raft, you can enjoy an all around view of the natural, rural life down the river (payable loccally). Cycling to the Moon Hill, you will see beautiful limestone karst towering peaks, rice paddies, bamboo groves, local's custom and lifestyle. Climb up to the top of the Moon Hill to see the panoramic view of Yangshuo.
Day 4: Yangshuo Cooking Learning (B, -, -)
Pick up from your hotel in the morning. Then drive to Liugong Village which is about 18km south of Yangshuo and situats on the bank of the Li River. It has maintained it's cultural identity, quaint architecture of 400-year-old from Ming Dynasty and simple farming life. In the afternoon explore the local fruit and vegetable maket and learn how to cook real Chinese food in a traditional setting in Cooking School locted about 5km from the popular town of Yangshuo.
Day 5: Leave Guilin (B, -, -)
In the morning leave for the airport.
