Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Guilin (-, L, -)
Upon arrival Guilin, you will be met at Guilin Airport or Guilin Train Station by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel by the privite car. After a 2-hour drive, your trekking tour starts at Jiuwu Town which is located in the north of Guilin and about 32 km always from Downtown Guilin. It is a very famous ancient village with a long history of up to 800 years. Walking amongst the area's beautiful scenery, wading through a small river and trekking into the mountains, you may see lots of pretty wood carving in the local families, and reach Bauji minority village at the top of a mountain to have lunch with a local family. After climbing over several other mountains, we will go down into a valley, pass through a sea of bamboo, and arrive at a small village.
Day 2: Longsheng (B, L, -)
Full day excursion to the Rice Terraces in Longsheng for the sightseeing of Ethnic culture. It is 100km away from the city of Guilin and 2.5h drive. The terraces resemble the great chains or ribbons as they meander from the foot to the top of the hills. This smart construction makes the best use of the limited arable land and water resources in the mountainous area. The Terraces were first started in the Yuan Dynasty and finished in the Qing Dynasty by the Zhuang people. Then drive back to the hotel in Guilin after tour.
Day 3: Li River Hiking (B, L, -)
Pick up from your hotel early in the morning. Then drive about an hour to get to Yang Di, then get off the vehicle to start your hiking along the Li River. The pleasant hiking is around 5h, and you will be transferred to the opposite bank of the river for several times by ferry during the trip. You definitely will enjoy the beautiful mountains, verdant fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Finishing hiking, get on the vehicle at Xing Ping Town to be back to Guilin.
Day 4: Guilin Incity Tour (B, L, -)
Today's highlight is your city tour. You’ll be arranged to visit the Reed Flute Cave, which is located 5 km northwest of Guilin city and got its name by the reeds used for making flutes and pipes growing at its entrance. The cave is known as "the Palace of the Nature Arts" and regarded as the largest and most impressive cave in Guilin city for the remarkable limestone formation with imaginative lighting. Then take a visit to the South China Sea Pearl Museum. The museum will introduce you the pearl's culture in China and the gorgeous pearls will feast your eyes. Guilin is now becoming the well-known collecting and distributing area for such a remarkable local speciality. Be transferred to Guilin airport or Guilin train station for your departure.
