Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Huangguoshu Waterfall, Dragon Palace Cave (-, -, -)
Your Tour start from hotel in Guiyang. Our tourguide will meet you in your Hotel. You will start your trip with visiting the largest waterfall in Asia-Huangguoshu Waterfall, 45 km (28 miles) southwest of Anshun City. It mainly consists of three National Parks: Waterfalls Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave and Rhinoceros Pool (Xi Niu Tan). Huangguoshu is the best known of some 18 in a cluster of waterfalls and during the summer rains the 266 ft (68 m) broad curtain of water creates an awesome spectacle.
Then, visit the Dragon Palace Cave (Longgong Dong), 27 km in the western suburbs of Anshun. It is a magnificent underground cave system with lakes, waterfalls and stalactites, covering an area almost 60 sq km connected by an underground river.
Day 2: Kaili Minority Museum (B, -, -)
You will have an excursion to Kaili, about 200 km from Guiyang. You will visit Kaili Minority Museum, which is a window for tourist to be acquainted with the custom of minorities in southeast of Guizhou. There are totally 12 exhibition halls, while only four of them are open to tourists, where displays local minorities' history, daily life, silver and embroidery.
Day 3: Datang Miao Village, Matang Gejia Village, Paika Miao Village (B, -, -)
Your tour starts with visiting Datang Miao Village. It is a Miao village that is famous for an aquatic granary and the distinctive dressing style of the women and girls-"short skirt".
Then, go to Matang Gejia Village, 18 km north of the city of Kaili, which is home to the majority of Gejia, a Miao subgroup. They specialize in traditional batik customs. Matang Village's Gejia girls begin to learn the art of batik, petit point and embroidery as young as 7–8 years old and are fond of colorful clothing for everyday attire as well as festival costumes.
Then you will move to Paika Miao Village which is known for its manufacture of Lusheng, the characteristic musical instrument of the Miao, made from bamboo pipes with a mouthpiece.
Day 4: Langde Miao Village, Leigong Mountain, Xijiang Miao Village (B, -, -)
After breakfast, you will go to Langde Miao Village, around 500 villagers in ten families, 50 km north of Kaili. The villagers in Langde wear long skirts, hence they are "Long Skirt Miao". The Miao style houses "Diaojiaolou" and its featured and creative festivals will offer you a different experience.
Then, visit Leigong Mountain (2178 m, 7150 ft), 15 km east of Kaili. It is the highest mountain of the southeast area of Guizhou and a beautiful place with flowers blooming in four seasons and birds twittering every minute. It has abundant natural vegetations and hills and mountains are decorated with lush green trees and beautiful flowers.
Finally you will move to Xijiang Miao Village, located southeast of Kaili. It is the largest Miao Village in China at around 1200 wooden homes and surrounded by green hills and blue waters. The local silversmiths have unique craftsmanship for silver ornament making.
Day 5: Zhenyuan Town, Black Dragon Cave (B, -, -)
Today you will go to Zhenyuan Town, 100 km (62 miles) from Kaili by train. It is an old garrison town. You will enjoy the Black Dragon Cave (Qinglong Dong), which is an ancient temple complex, located on Zhonghe Mountain to the east of Zhenyuan. This Daoist complex is built right into the overhanging cliffs, where water seeps onto shrines dedicated to numerous deities.
Day 6: Wuyang River (B, -, -)
Today you will be driven to Shibing, a nondescript place on the south bank of Wuyang River. On the way you can take a boat on the Wuyang river, 17 km from Zhenyuan and enjoy the landscape all around. You may immerse the hills and water there and the boating usually takes you 3 hours or so.
Day 7: Fanjing Mountain, Nuo Drama (B, -, -)
After breakfast, you will visit the Fanjing Mountain, the main peak of the Wuling Mountain Range, located at the juncture of the three counties of Yinjiang, Jiangkou and Songtao in northeastern Guizhou. It is known for its large protophyte forest, the only well-preserved primitive forest ecosystem on the same latitude in the world, a treasure-house of plants and wildlife.
Then, take a look at the local ancient drama- Nuo Drama (Nuo Xi), whose purpose was a sacrificial activity. Nuo Drama here is a branch of the ancient Military Nuo. Musical instruments include one gong and one drum. The drummer is very important during a performance. A patch of land serves as a stage. As a result, it is also called Dixi (ground drama).
