Hubei is often called as the "Land of Fish and Rice". Wuhan si the capital of Hubei and the biggest hub city in central China. It is also the political, economic, scientific and technological, cultural and financial center.

Due to its location at the crossroads of central China, Wuhan is known as the "thoroughfare of nine provinces". The famous and magnificent Yangtze River scene is from Yichang to Chongqing. Wudang Mountain in Hubei is both a famous scenic spot and the Taoist Holy Land in China. The ancient architectural complex on the mountain was listed by UNESCO in 1994 as a World Culture Heritage Site. Other scenic spots are also worth to see, such as the Shennongjia Nature Reserve, which is a nature forest with marvelous natural scenery, rare foliages, endangered animal and famous legends.
