Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower (-, L, D)
Upon arrival in Wuhan, our tour guide will meet you at Wuhan Airport and transfer you to your hotel by the private car . After a short break, you will go to visit the Yellow Crane Tower, a famous historic tower on Sheshan (Snake Hill), at the bank of Yangtze River. It enjoys the fame of "The First Scenery under Heaven" and is considered one of the Four Great Towers of China. You can obtain a fine view of the Yangtze River from the top of the tower. Later you will be driven to Xiangfan, 300 km from Wuhan.
Day 2 : Ancient Longzhong Scenic Area, Wudang Mountain (B, L, D)
Today your trip will begin with visiting the Ancient Longzhong Scenic Area, the former residence of Zhuge Liang, the famed third century Chinese tactician and administrator.
Later you will proceed to Wudang Mountain, a famous scenic spot and the Taoist Holy Land in China. After reaching the mountain, you will visit the the Golden Hall (Jindian or Jinding). It situates at the top of Tianzhu Peak (1612 m) and is one of the biggest glided copper temples in China. The mirage and tea ceremony in the Prince Slope can bring you an unusual experience.
Day 3 : Wudang Mountain, Purple Cloud Palace, Nanyan Temple(B, L, D)
Today you will continue your visit in Wudang Mountain. The first scenic spot will be the Purple Cloud Palace, the most magnificent and best-preserved Taoist building in Wudang Mountain.
Later you will take a stroll through the Nanyan Temple which the whole structure of the temple - hall-pillars, beams, arches, gates and windows - is constructed out of rock of the 36 cliffs and was reputed as the Holy Place of obtaining enlightenment of the Taoists. In the afternoon, you will take a visit to the Shennongjia Nature Reserve and have a pleasant relaxation.
Day 4 : Shengnongjia Nature Reserve, Shennongding Peak (B, L, D)
Today's tour starts with visiting the Shennongjia Nature Reserve. Shennongjia Nature Reserve is a nature forest with marvelous natural scenery, rare foliages, endangered animals and famous legends. You can wander in the forest to experience the elegant waterfalls and (maybe) get a glimpse of the mysterious "Wild Men". Besides, you can pick up the legend of Shennong's Ladder who was believed to be one of the two ancestors of Chinese people.
Then you will visit the Shennongding Peak, the highest mountain of Shennongjia, 3,105 m (about 10,188 ft) high, above sea level. Watch the clouds nestling at the peak where ridges stretch into the distance.
Day 5 : Three Gorges Dam (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Yichang (260 km from Shengnongjia). In the afternoon, you will go to visit theThree Gorges Dam, which is a hydroelectric river dam that spans the Yangtze River and is the largest hydro-electric power station in the world.
Day 6 : Wuhan Provincial Museum, East Lake (B, -, -)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Wuhan (390 km). Arrival at Wuhan, you will have a rest and enjoy your lunch. Then visit the Provincial Museum to enjoy the historical and cultural relics and a replica of the Chime Bells played by musicians wearing ancient clothes.
Finally, you will cruise on East Lake ( the largest lake within a city in China), which locates on the south bank of the Yangtze River and in the east suburb of Wuchang. Because of its winding banks and crisscrossing ponds and brooks, it is also called "'a lake with 99 bays". After finishing all your trips, our guide will escort you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
