Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Changsha (-, -, D)

As soon as you arrive at the airport of Changsha, our guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel and then you can have a good rest.

Day 2: Mawangdui Museum, Zhangjiajie (B, L, -)

After breakfast, you will begin your trip today with a visit to Mawangdui Museum. You will receive a lot of surprises in the museum as well as knowledge about the culture of Han Dynasty. The three tombs preserved in the museum are very grand and complicated as well. Besides, among these more than 3,000 relics have been unearthed from the three tombs, the most famous is silk products, paintings, map, bamboo slips and so on. After that, you will fly to Zhangjiajie.

Day 3: Huangshi Fort, Golden Whip Stream (B, L, D)

Today you will visit Huangshi Fort. In the morning, you will take a cable car to the Huangshi Fort, the first village of Tujia group. Standing by the Huangshi Fort, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenes of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

Later then you will take a stroll through one of the most beautiful valleys in the world—the Golden Whip Stream. The scenery there is the most enchanting in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park; it is renowned as "a stream of bright watercolor painting, and a creator of ancient legends". Its unique and mysterious produces lots of astonishment to the tourists.

Day 4: Yellow Dragon Cave, Baofeng Lake (B, L, D)

Today you will take a full-day excursion to Yellow Dragon Cave and Baofeng Lake. The Yellow Dragon Cave, which is honored as "magical karst cave both in China and in the world". The cave is of good beneficial air circulation, and the tally of natural wonders of the cave includes: one natural reservoir, 2 underground rivers, 3 pools, 4 waterfalls, 13 grand halls, 96 passageways and hundreds of thousands of stalagmites, columns and stalactites.

After that, we will drive to Baofeng Lake. Baofeng Lake is reputed as the abode of fairy mother goddess on earth with rare high gorges lake and shaped by surrounding mountains into a narrow strip. As soon as you arrive there, you will know that Baofeng Lake is a veritable place of graceful mountains and charming waterway and for all the kind, good, gracious and wise people.

Day 5: Furong Town (B, -, -)

After breakfast, drive to "Furongzhen" and your trip will start with visiting Wang's Village. It is a famous town known as Furong Town because it is the place for the shooting of a famous film "Furongzhen" acted by Liu Xiaoqing who is very famous throughout the world. The street road is covered by stone slabs, and the ages washed them to have a cold shining surface. Take a stroll on the street and taste the speciality of Xiangxi—Rice Bean Curd.

Then go to visit the special building of Tujia ethnic group, the Hanging Watchtower and the Waterfall Tower. Then go to Minority Nationalities Museum where you can have a better understanding of the different minorities such as Miao, Tujia, Bai etc.. You will know their history, culture, tradition and their beautiful costumes.

Then you will go to the Mengdong River. Mengdonghe River is located 80 kilometers southeast of Zhangjiajie City, nestled among mountains, a remote canyon towering limestone cliffs, a beautiful river that’s ranked among the top ones in China. You will have a chance to take a float on this beautiful river. Mengdong River, renowned as “The first float in China”. The whole floating distance of Mengdonghe River is 47 km with the 17 km most exciting upper stream floating.

Day 6: Puguang Monastery, Xiu Hua Museum (B, -, -)

After breakfast, you will have a nice city tour in Zhangjiajie.

Firstly go to Puguang which is located in the urban areas of the monastery. It is an ancient building complex landscape, Buddhism and Taoism is the joint construction of its building integration of the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty of the three styles.

Then we will move to Xiu Hua Museum that lies in the downtown of the city and is the first museum of Tujia Minority group. In the museum you can enjoy the exquisite wood carved furnitures, beautiful folk costumes, cross tapestry and silver ornaments of Tujia Minority. Also you can experience their unique holiday celebration, funeral and marriage.

After finish all the trips, our guide will transfer you to the Zhangjiajie airport and see you off.
