Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Changsha (-, L, -)

After arrival at Changsha, you will have a rest and then begin your trip today with a visit to Mawangdui Museum. You will receive a lot of surprises in the museum as well as knowledge about the culture of Han Dynasty. The three tombs preserved in the museum are very grand and complicated as well. Besides, among these more than 3,000 relics have been unearthed from the three tombs, the most famous is silk products, paintings, map, bamboo slips and so on.

After visiting the Mawangdui Museum, you will excurse to the Yuelu Academy of Classical Education, one of the four most prestigious academies over the last 1000 years in China. Nowadays, the academy is a center of publication and research of the ancient Chinese language as well as one of the most important academic and cultural centers in China. When finish today's trip, our guide will transfer you to your hotel and the rest of the day is yours to relax.

Day 2: Taohuayuan, Zhangjiajie (B, L, -)

After your breakfast, our guide will transfer you to Changde and visit Taohuayuan, the fairyland on earth described in a famous Jin writer, Tao Yuanming's "Accounts of Taohuayuan". Taohuayuan is actually a world of peach orchards, which looks unusually beautiful when peach flowers are blooming. Despite of the peaches' anthesis, the Taohuayuan is also with beautiful and gorgeous sights. In addition, Taohuayuan is also renowned at home and abroad for the popularity of its temples and tablets.

You can visit the Qin People's Village there and experience the peaceful life which is like retired from war chaos. Later we will drive back to Zhangjiajie.

Day 3: Yellow Dragon Cave (B, L, D)

After your breakfast, you will begin your trip with a visit to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a paradise which boasts lots of beauties and wonders, such as the pillar-like formations, the grotesque peaks, the colorful ribbonlike stream, the pleasant climate and so on.

After visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and finishing your lunch, you will go to visit the Yellow Dragon Cave in the afternoon. The Yellow Dragon Cave is honored as "magical karst cave both in China and in the world". The cave is of good beneficial air circulation, and the tally of natural wonders in the cave includes: one natural reservoir, 2 underground rivers, 3 pools, 4 waterfalls, 13 grand halls, 96 passageways and hundreds of thousands of stalagmites, columns and stalactites. You will be marvelous at such wonders. Later you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 4: Baofeng Lake, Mt. Tianzi, Five Kilometers Gallery Stream (B, L, D)

Today you will start your trip with a visit to the Baofeng Lake in the morning. Baofeng Lake is reputed as the abode of fairy mother goddess on earth with rare high gorges lake and shaped by surrounding mountains into a narrow strip. As soon as you arrive there, you will know that Baofeng Lake is a veritable place of graceful mountains and charming waterway and for all the kind, good, gracious and wise people.

Mt. Tianzi will be your next destination in the afternoon. You will take a cable car up and down the Tianzi Mountain in the afternoon. Mt. Tianzi is distributed with nearly 100 natural platforms for sightseeing, more than 2000 stone peaks and dozens of waterfalls and springs. The sea of clouds, the wavelike stone ranges etc are spectacular. On the cable car, you can see lots of waterfalls and winding streams. The sceneries are wonderful and change all times. You will marvel at the ancient battlefield, all the peaks there are lofty and with a height of more than hundreds of meters.

After descending, you will take a stroll along the Five Kilometers Gallery Stream which likes a beautiful portrait of mountains and waterways.

Day 5: Golden Whip Stream, Huangshi Fort (B, L, D)

After your breakfast, visit Golden Whip Stream. You will take a stroll through one of the most beautiful valleys in the world—the Golden Whip Stream. The scenery there is the most enchanting in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park; it is renowned as "a stream of bright watercolor painting, and a creator of ancient legends". Its unique and mysterious produces lots of astonishment to the tourists. Stream-circling Valley is a beautiful alluvion formed by the Golden Whip Stream which meets with three other streams.

Later you will take a cable car to the first village of Tujia group—Huangshi Fort. Standing by the Huangshi Fort, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenes of Zhangjiajia National Forest Park. All these natural sceneries are listed in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.

Our guide will transfer you to the airport after all your trips in the afternoon or at night as you wish and feel convenient.
