Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie (-, L, -)
When you arrive in Zhangjiajie airport, our guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Relax yourself to recover from the jet lag.
Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (B, L, -)
Today you will visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a paradise which boasts lots of beauties and wonders, such as the pillarlike formations, the grotesque peaks, the colorful ribbonlike streams and the pleasant climate and so on.
Firstly you will take a cable car to the first village of Tujia group—Huangshi Fort. Standing by the Huangshi Fort, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
Later you will descend by cable car and then take a stroll through one of the most beautiful valleys in the world—the Golden Whip Stream. The scenery there is the most enchanting in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park; it is renowned as "a stream of bright watercolor painting, and a creator of ancient legends". Its unique and mysterious produces astonishment to the tourists. Stream-Circling Valley is a beautiful alluvion formed by the Golden Whip Stream and meet with three other streams. All the natural sceneries are listed in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.
Day 3: Yellow Dragon Cave, Mt. Tianzi (B, -, -)
This morning you will begin your trip to the Yellow Dragon Cave after your breakfast. Yellow Dragon Cave has been honored as "magical karst cave both in China and in the world". It has lots of natural wonders as well as the limestone formations in different shapes.
After visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, you will have lunch and begin to visit the Mt. Tianzi in the afternoon. You will take a cable car up and down the Tianzi Mountain. Mt. Tianzi is distributed with nearly 100 natural platforms for sightseeing, more than 2000 stone peaks and dozens of waterfalls and springs. The sea of clouds, the wavelike stone ranges etc. are spectacular. On the cable car, you can see lots of waterfalls and winding streams. The sceneries are wonderful and change all times. You will marvel at the ancient battlefield and all the peaks there are lofty and with a height of more than hundreds of meters.
After descending, you will take a stroll along the Five Kilometers Gallery Stream which looks like a beautiful portrait of mountains and waterways.
Day 4: Chairman Mao Villadom (B, -, -)
Today you will go to visit Tujia Village. Tujia Palace is known as the place of celestially relique. The most remarkable feature of Tujia Minority is the Hanging Watchtower, originality and majestic, with beautiful flower carving on windows. You will also visit the Tujia group's castle and their dance beckons with the hands. All of these will fulfill your desire to Tujia culture. You can taste the delicious food of Tujia group and bring some unique things home for memory. In the evening you will fly to Changsha.
Day 5: Changsha Incity Tour (B, -, -)
Today you will begin your trip to visit the famous museum—Mawangdui Han Tombs. You will receive a lot of surprises in the museum as well as knowledge about the culture of Han Dynasty. The three tombs preserved in the museum are very grand and complicated as well. Besides, among these more than 3,000 relics have been unearthed from the three tombs, the most famous is silk products, paintings, map, bamboo slips and so on.
After visiting the Mawangdui Museum, you will excurse to the Yuelu Academy of Classical Education, one of the four most prestigious academies over the last 1000 years in China. Nowadays, the academy is a center of publication and research of the ancient Chinese language as well as one of the most important academic and cultural centers in China.
When finish today’s trip, our guide will transfer you to the airport and see you off.
