Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Mount Lushan (-, L, D)
This morning you will have an excursion from Nanchang to Mount Lushan (116 km) which is one of the spiritual centers of Chinese civilization and owns its reputation to its wonderful, elegant, steep and spectacular features that embrace ravines, waterfalls, grottoes, rocks and rivulets.
You will begin your trip with walking through the Flower Path which skirts the edge of the western cliffs, giving marvelous views over the Jinxui Valley.
Afterwards, you will visit the Pavilion of the Imperial Stele, built by the Ming Emperor in the 14th century to commemorate a meeting with the immortal Taoist.
Then, visit the Yellow Dragon Temple, built in the Ming Dynasty (1573 A.D.-1620 A.D.) by a monk, and the Three Precious Trees which are said to have been plated by the Buddhist monk Tan Xi 1500 years.
At last, frolic in the Black Dragon Pool where five streams plunge over a huge stone into a pool, which is said to be inhabited by a dark dragon, although the water is limpid and clean.
After that, you will visit the former site of Lushan Conference and the Old Villa.
