Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Daming Lake, Baotu Spring (-, -, D)

You’ll be welcomed by your tour guide at Jinan Airport. Then head for the hotel.

Today you will take a stroll in the picturesque Daming Lake Park, which is reputed as the pearl of the city of springs-Jinan. Then you will see the fantastic Baotu Spring, which is praised to be Number One Spring under the Heaven.

Day 2: Confucian Temple, Confucian Family Mansion, Confucian Cemetery (B, L, D)

Drive to Qufu. It is the hometown of Confucius (551-479 BC), who is a great thinker, statesman and educator in China's history, and founder of the Confucian school of philosophy.

In the morning you will visit Confucian Temple, Confucian Family Mansion and Confucian Cemetery. They were made part of the world cultural heritage list in 1994.

At first you will visit Confucian Temple, which has been the holy place for offering sacrifices to Confucius over the last 2,500 years. Then continue to visit Confucian Family Mansion. It’s the official and private residences of Confucius' descendants. Then last stop is Confucian Cemetery, which has served as the family graveyard of Confucius and his descendants for more than 2,300 years.

In the afternoon drive to Tai’an to visit Tai Temple.

Day 3: Mount Tai (B, L, D)

Take a cable car to enjoy the splendid scenery of Mt. Tai, which is regarded as pre-eminent among China's Five Holy Mountains. 72 Chinese emperors of various dynasties made pilgrimages to Mt. Tai for sacrificial and other ceremonial purposes.

In the afternoon go back to Jinan.

Day 4: Mt. Laoshan, Taiqing Palace, Shilaoren Beach (B, L, D)

Today you will visit Mt. Laoshan, which has long held the reputation as the No. 1 Famous Mountain on the Sea.

Taiqing Palace is the largest and oldest among the preserved Taoist establishments on the Mt. Lao. The main buildings of the Taiqing Palace include the Sanguan Hall, the Sanqing Hall and the Sanhuang Hall. You will also see the amazing Frog Rock lying the coast near Mt. Laoshan.

Then enjoy yourself in the fantastic Shilaoren Beach.

Day 5: Zhanqiao Pier, Little Fish Hill, Small Qingdao Island, Badaguan Area (B, L, D)

Today you will visit Zhanqiao pier, which is viewed in the eyes of many as the official symbol of Qingdao as it was made famous by being placed on the front of the Tsingtao Brewery beer can.

Then you will visit the Little Fish Hill, which is one of the hill parks in downtown area. The happiest thing of climbing the Little Fish Hill is to watch the lovely distant scenery. Specially standing on the highest spot - the Lanchao Pavilion, you can take the scenery of the Qingdao Bay and the Huiquan Bay at a glance.

After that, visit Small Qingdao Island. Located to the southeast of Zhanqiao Pier, Xiaoqingdao Island is a pleasant little islet. On the islet stands a 15.5-meter-tall white lighthouse. At night, the glistening light from the lighthouse shining on the sea waves composes the famous beautiful scene of "Floating Light on the Isle".

Finally you will visit Badaguan Area, the eight passes, famous for its gardens and roads.It is a major tourist attraction close to the coast of Qingdao. It's made up of eight streets named after the eight great military forts of the ancient times. Along the streets are many classic European houses built when Qingdao was a German protectorate (1897-1914).

Day 6: Liugong Island, Sino-Japanese War Museum, Korean Clothes Store (B, L, D)

Drive to Weihai. Today you will visit Liugong Island. The 3.15-square-kilometer island was the birthplace of China's navy, the Northern Fleet, in 1888.

Then visit the Sino-Japanese War Museum, which is the main spot where one can understand this unique island..
Finally go to the Korean Clothes Store. Live in Yantai’s hotel in the evening.

Day 7: Penglai Pavilion, Water City (B, L, -)

Drive to Penglai. You will visit the Penglai Pavilion, which is the best place to view two of the Ten Scenes of Penglai - Pavilion in the Air and Fishing and Singing on Yuliang.

Then you will go to the Water City, one of the oldest military harbors in ancient China, also called Beiwo City, which is a fortress of coastal defense and a hinge of sea transportation.

Finally go back to Yantai. Depart for Dalian by ship.
