Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai, The Bund, Nanjing Road (-, L, D)


Upon arrival in Shanghai, your tour guide will meet you at Shanghai Airport and transfer you to your hotel by private car. Shanghai is the largest city in China in terms of population and is located on China's central eastern coast at the mouth of the Yangtze River.

You will start your tour in Shanghai with a visit to the Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, which is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. It winds a 1500 m length. The most famous and attractive sights are the 52 various European-style buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance at the west side of the Bund.

Then you walk along Nanjing Road which has been a centre of commerce in Shanghai for more than a century. It is 3.4-mile-long and starts at the Bund in the east and ends in the west to People's Square. Then you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 2: Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Jin Mao Tower (-, L, D)

In the morning, you will first take a stroll through the Yuyuan Garden, located in the center of the Old Shanghai City, is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics in the garden.

Later, visit Jade Buddha Temple in the western part of Shanghai. The old temple was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues had been brought to Shanghai from Burma by a monk by sea. Both the Sitting Buddha (1.95 metres tall, 3 tonnes), encrusted by the agate and the emerald and the smaller Reclining Buddha (96 cm long), representing Buddha's death are carved with whole white jade.

Finally you move to Jin Mao Tower which is an 88-storey (420.5 m, almost 1380 ft tall) landmark supertall skyscraper in the Lujiazui area of the Pudong. It is the fourth tallest building of the world and the second tallest building in China. Two direct elevators operate at the speed of 9.1 m per second that can take visitors from the ground floor to the 88th floor in only 45 seconds. Stay at Shanghai overnight.

Day 3: Oriental Pearl Tower(-, L, D)

Today you will proceed to the Oriental Pearl Tower by the side of Huangpu River. The 468-meter-high tower is the tallest completed tower in Asia and the third tallest tower in the world. Visitors can travel up and down the tower in double-decker elevators. The view of Shanghai from this height fills you with wonder at the beauty that surrounds you.

After the tour, drive to Shanghai railway station to Hangzhou by train. It takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Hangzhou, your tour guide will meet you at Hangzhou railway station and transfer you to your hotel by private car. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out into this beautiful city for an adventure on your own. Stay at Hangzhou overnight.

Day 4: Hangzhou Incity Tour (-, L, D)

Your trip today starts with taking a boat on West Lake to enjoy the famous sceneries. West Lake is not only famous for its picturesque landscape, it is also associated with many scholars, national heroes and revolutionary martyrs, thus embracing many aspects of Chinese culture.

Next, move to Lingyin Monastery which is notable as one of the ten most largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples of China near to the lake. Walk in front of the temple and you can see Feilai Peak. Legend has said that this limestone peak flew from India where it had formed part of a holy mountain. These are of particular interest to Buddhists and those who have a love of sculpture and art.

Afterwards, you have a chance to enjoy one of the most well-known tea in China, Longjing (Dragon Well) Tea at Mei Jia Wu Tea Village which has long been well-known for this tea. You will be able to understand why partaking in tea ceremonies is of such importance in Chinese culture.

Finally you will move to the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, seated at the foot of Wu Hill. It is the only state-level professional Chinese medicine museum in China and you can appreciate the treasures of traditional Chinese medical science and technology. Stay at Hangzhou overnight.

Day 5: Six Harmonies Pagoda, China National Silk Museum, Wuzhen (-, L, D)

Today you will firstly go to Six Harmonies Pagoda, one of the true masterpieces of ancient Chinese architectures, was built in 970 A. D.. It has the appearance of being a thirteen-story structure, though it only has seven interior stories. On the top, visitors will have a spectacular view of the Qiantang River Bridge spanning the surging tides of the Qiantang River.

Then, visit the China National Silk Museum, situated at the southern bank of the West Lake. It is the biggest silk museum throughout the world and you can learn how the pure Chinese silk products are made from a small cocoon since the 14th century.

Finally, drive to Wuzhen, a scenic town about 75 km from Hangzhou. Wuzhen displays its two-thousand-year history in its ancient stone bridges floating on mild water, its stone pathways between the mottled walls and its delicate wood carvings. Stay at Wuzhen overnight.

Day 6: Wuzhen (-, L, D)

Today you will have a full relaxing day aroud this beautiful water town. You will enjoy the Bridge in Bridge which is the most impressive pair among ancient bridges in Wuzhen. God Fortune Bay gathers a collection of special architectures of the water town, including halls, verandas, and water chambers. In Bamboo Handicraft Shop you can see the varieties of the bamboo handicrafts. Foliage Dyeing Workshop will show you how to apply blue grass as dyeing material to make the traditional hand-made cloth in Wuzhen, blue calico.

Move to Rice Wine Workshop to see the Chinese rice wine brewing. Hundred Bed Museum is the first museum in China to collect and exhibit ancient beds of the Jiangnan area. Zhaoming Academy named after Xiao Tong, the crown prince of Liang (502-557) and endued the name Zhaoming after dying. In Fangluge Teahouse you can partake in the Chinese tea ceremonies. Water Chamber is a unique architecture of Wuzhen which local people built on the back of their waterside houses by erecting wood or stone columns. Water Stage was built over water and was important place for cultural entertainment for residents of Wuzhen and the neighbouring towns.

Chinese Footbinding Cultural Museum is the first of its kind in the world to introduce the footbinding culture in China. After your tour of Wuzhen, you will be driven back to Hangzhou. Stay at Hangzhou overnight.

Day 7: Depart from Hangzhou (-, -, -)

After breakfast, your personal guide will escort you to the Hangzhou Airport for your flight to next destination.
