Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai, The Bund, Nanjing Road (-, L, D)
Upon arrival in Shanghai, your tour guide will meet you at Shanghai Airport and transfer you to your hotel by private car. Shanghai is the largest city in China in terms of population and is located on China's central eastern coast at the mouth of the Yangtze River.
You will start your tour in Shanghai with a visit to the Bund, also called the Zhongshan Road, which is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. It winds a 1500 m length. The most famous and attractive sights are the 52 various European-style buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance at the west side of the Bund.
Then you walk along Nanjing Road which has been a centre of commerce in Shanghai for more than a century. It is 3.4-mile-long and starts at the Bund in the east and ends in the west to People's Square. Then you will be driven back to your hotel.
Day 2: Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden, Jin Mao Tower, Huangshan (-, L, D)
Today you will visit firstly Shanghai Museum, located in the center of Shanghai in People's Square. It is a large museum of ancient Chinese art and possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, furniture, jades, ancient coins, paintings, seals, sculptures, minority art and foreign art.
Then you will take a stroll through the Yuyuan Garden, located in the center of the Old Shanghai City, is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics in the garden.
Finally you move to Jin Mao Tower which is an 88-storey (420.5 m, almost 1380 ft tall) landmark supertall skyscraper in the Lujiazui area of the Pudong. It is the fourth tallest building of the world and the second tallest building in China. Two direct elevators operate at the speed of 9.1 m per second that can take visitors from the ground floor to the 88th floor in only 45 seconds.
After the tour, you will be transferred to Shanghai airport for your flight to Huangshan(Tunxi) which takes just about 50 mintues. Upon arrival in Huangshan, your tour guide will meet you at Huangshan Airport and transfer you to your hotel by private car.
Day 3: Yellow Mountain (B, L, D)
After your breakfast , drive 80 km to Huangshan Scenic Area and take the cable car at Yungu Station to the top of the mountain. Mount Huangshan, a mountain range in southern Anhui province in eastern China, is known as "the loveliest mountain in China." It is renowned for its magnificent scenery made up of many strangely jutting granite peaks, sunrises, odd-shaped pines, and views of a sea of clouds from above. After checking into your hotel and having a rest, you will visit the Brush Pen Peak and Lion Peak. Refreshing Terrace on the Lion Peak is the optimum place for watching the sea of clouds and sunrise.
Then move to Xihai Grand Canyon. Within its 25 sq km, there are many unique rock formations and lush pines abound. Scenery keeps changing as you walk on steep steps usually clinging to precipices. You become immersed in your surroundings and find yourself in an amazing painting. In the evening, you will enjoy the sunset glow at the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion (890 m). Stay overnight at the summit.
Day 4: Yellow Mountain Sunrise, Yellow Mountain, Tunxi Ancient Street, Ink Stick Factory (B, L, D)
Try to get up early in the morning to catch Mount Huangshan's magical sunrise. After breakfast, you will walk to Shixin Peak (Begin-to-Believe Peak) to see the ancient Huangshan Pines, named after Mount Huangshan because the tree does not take root in soil, but in rocks. The pines vary greatly in shape and size, with the most crooked of the trees being considered the most attractive. It is said that only when you come to Shixin Peak that you will believe the magic of Mt. Huangshan, or you won't see the Huangshan pines until you come to this Peak.
Afterwards, you will take the cable car down to the foot of the mountain and be driven back to the city of Huangshan to enjoy Tunxi Ancient Street that is located in the center of the Huangshan City with centuries-old history dated back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279).
Then drive to Ink stick Factory. It is one of the most famous ink stone factories in China, where you can see the whole working process.
After the tour, your personal guide will escort you to the Huangshan Airport for your flight back to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, your tour guide will meet you at Shanghai Airport and transfer you to your hotel by private car.
Day 5: Oriental Pearl Tower, Departure from Shanghai (-, -, -)
Today you will proceed to the Oriental Pearl Tower by the side of Huangpu River. The 468-meter-high tower is the tallest completed tower in Asia and the third tallest tower in the world. Visitors can travel up and down the tower in double-decker elevators. The view of Shanghai from this height fills you with wonder at the beauty that surrounds you.
Then your personal guide will escort you to the Shanghai Airport for your flight to next destination.
