Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu (-, -, -)

Upon arrival in Chengdu, your tour guide will meet you at Chengdu Airport and take to Emei Mountain, one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China, 143 km (89 miles) southwest of Chengdu.

After a short rest in the hotel at Emei Mountain, you will visit Baoguo Temple, the largest temple on the mountain. It has a courtyard adorned with a flower nursery, garden and pavilions.

Day 2: Emei Mountain, Leshan Giant Buddha (B, L, -)

After breakfast, you will visit another famous temple on the Emei Mountain-Wannian Temple, the oldest surviving building on Emei which dates to 1611. It towers a bronze statue of Samantabhadra or Puxian riding an elephant which was cast during the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

In the afternoon, you will be driven to Leshan City to see Leshan Giant Buddha, 71 m (230 ft) high, which is the largest carved stone Buddha in the world and is featured in poetry, song and story. It is also known as Lingyun Giant Buddha.

After a river cruise on the Minjiang River, you will be driven back to Chengdu.

Day 3: Du Fu's Thatched Cottage, Wangjianglou Park, Chengdu Panda Base (-, L, -)

Today you will have a city tour around Chengdu and it starts with a visit to Du Fu's Thatched Cottage. It is an idyllic 24-acre park and museum in honour of the most celebrated Tang Dynasty poet, Du Fu. The Museum is the sacred land of poetry and a national treasure.

Later, visit Wangjianglou Park, which is renowned for its natural beauty and historical significance. The extremely splendid tower is the memorial to a famous poetess, named Xuetao in the 9th century.

Then you will visit the Chengdu Panda Base, where you can see pandas, Chengdu's most famous residents, breeding in nature. You can take a very close look of this cute animal.

Day 4: Departure (-, -, -)

Then your personal guide escorts you to Chengdu Airport for your flight to your next destination.
