Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Xi'an (-, L, -)
Upon arrival in Xi'an, our tour guide will meet you at Xi'an Airport or Xi'an Train Station and transfer you to your hotel by private car.
After a short break, we begin our tour from the Great Mosque of Xi'an, located at the Huajue Lane on the center of the city, is the largest and best preserved of the early mosques of China. It was first built as early as the 700 A.D. in the Tang Dynasty, but the current complex layout was finished during the Ming Dynasty in the late 14th century. The mosque is a combination of traditional Chinese architecture and Islamic art and is the only one Mosque that opens to visitors in China. After this, back to your hotel and the rest of day is yours to relax.
Day 2: Huaqing Hot Springs, Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang, Museum of Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses (B, L, -)
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel after your breakfast. Today, drive to Huaqing Hot Springs which situated at the northern foot of Mt. Lishan in Lintong County, 30 km east to the urban area of X'ian City. It has a history of more than 3000 years and was used by ancient emperors as their imperial villa and excursion center, especially is famed for both its dainty spring scenery and the romantic love story of Emperor Xuanzong (685-762) and his concubine Yang Guifei in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
Then, move to Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang which is located 5 km in the eastern suburbs of Lintong County, 35 km east of Xi'an. This is a tomb hill built by ramming the earth and up to now there remains an earth tomb 47 m in height. The tomb is divided into the inner and outer cities. There is a great abundance of exotic treasures in the ground palace of the inner city.
Next go to the Museum of Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses which is 35 km from Xi'an City and is a place that should not to be missed by any visitor to China. The museum covers an area of 16,300 sq m and is divided into three sections. Life size terracotta figures of warriors and horses arranged in battle formations are the focus at the museum. They are replicas of what the imperial guard should look like in those days of pomp and vigor. Each figure has its own facial features and expressions, clothing, hairstyle, and gesture. Then, back to your hotel.
Day 3: Shaanxi Historical Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (B, L, -)
Your tour guide will pick you up after your breakfast to the Shaanxi Historical Museum--the largest comprehensive museum in the province. The museum exhibits over 3,000 unearthed historical relics, a small fraction of their collection, most of the exhibited items are rare treasures, showing you the splendid Chinese culture.
Then, proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is 4 km from the downtown of Xi'an City and was initially built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty. It is 64.5 m (211.6 ft) high and is widely renowned for Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India. It is the landmark of the ancient capital city - Xi'an.
After all of these, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
