The fleet of M.S. Issabella series consists of M.S. Issabella 1, 2, 3 , 4 ,5 , 6 and 7, all built in similar styles and structures but not that in terms of interior decorations and room layouts. M. S. Issabella is up to international 3-star standard, 79 meters long and 16 meters wide, with a draft of 2.5 meters and 2640 h. p.. It was sailing between Yichang and Chongqing in 2003, with a maximum speed of 27.5 kilometers per hour in still water.

It features 5 deluxe suites and 80 standard cabins with a total capacity of 166 passengers. The standard cabin is 10-17 square meters, provided with toilet, two beds, telephone, TV, sofa, desk, tea table, wardrobe, bedside cupboard, luggage rack, and so on. The deluxe suite is twice as the standard cabin. Besides the equipments as the standard cabins, the deluxe suite is provided additionally with larger bed and more furniture; what's more, it is more elegant, luxurious and cleaner.

The facilities on the ship include the wide and bright saloon, with the installation of service desk, sofa, mini club and shop, bar and entertainment hall where guest can enjoy tea, coffee, soft drink, book, magazine, electronic play, chess, weiqi, performance and karaoke, dance hall, mini meeting room, library, observation platform, playroom, business center and so on.

Travelers can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Yangtze River, sitting or lying on the chairs in the observation platform. There are telegraphs, fax, computers, slides, typewriters and duplicators supplied in the business center. A large number of antiques, paintings, jades, folk clothes, albums of changing, stamps, stones in three gorges etc. are found in the shop aboard.

The dining room has the accommodation of 160 persons, with two types of buffet meal and table meal.



 


Cruise Itinerary:

Downstream (Chongqing->Yichang )
Day 1
Board your deluxe M.V. Isabella Series Ship and settle into your comfortable outside cabin to begin your memorable cruise downstream.

Day 2
Depart from Chongqing in the morning. In the afternoon, go ashore to visit Fengdu, the "Ghost City", where the Chinese believe the soul of the dead goes. The balance of the day is free to explore the ship's many amenities. Tonight, you are our guests at the captain's cocktail party.

Day 3
Cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, which is framed by steep mossy cliffs. Then, sail on through Wu Gorge, celebrated for its 12 peaks. At Badong, transfer to a small cruiser for an exciting excursion on Shenlong Stream to view its breathtaking small gorges. Next, sail through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. Finally, pass through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship Lock.

Day 4
This morning, stop at Sandouping to view the historic Three Gorges Dam project, the largest hydroelectric project in the world.

Upstream (Yichang->Chongqing)
Day 1

Day 2
Enjoy a full-day sailing on the Yangtze River.

Day 3
Stop at San Dou Ping this morning to see the historic Three Gorges Dam project. Reboard the ship and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship lock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, the longest one of the famed Three Gorges. Xiling Gorge is also known for its danger by its numerous reefs and odd-shaped stones existing in rapid shoals.

Day 4
Early this morning, delight in Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, transfer to a motorboat for an exciting excursion on either Daning River or Shennong Stream to view their breathtaking small gorges. Reboard the ship and soon pass through the dramatic grandeur of Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most spectacular of the Three Gorges which is framed by steep cliffs.

Day 5
Today's shore excursion shows the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze" in scenic Shibaozhai.

*Alternate shore excursion may visit Fengdu or Wanzhou. Fengdu, the "Ghost City", where the Chinese believe the soul of the dead goes.

Day 6
This morning you will cruise through now-gentle countryside to Chongqing, where you disembark the ship.
