Being one of the deluxe cruise ships on Yangtze River, Princess Sissi (President No.8) was first put into service in 1994. It was totally renovated in 2001 in accordance with international 4-star standard. With a length of 70 meters and a width of 13.2 meters, this double layer basing structured vessel has a draft of 2.4 meters and a total tonnage of 2220.

Streamlined in shape and designed in European style, the ship has all of its public areas and passenger cabins well appointed and elegantly decorated. The ship facilities are for most convenience and comforts of guests: sauna and massage, gym, beauty salon, night club, sunbathe, gift shop, ballroom, business center, satellite communication systems, circuit TV and a lot more. Up to now, it was the first Yangtze Cruise ship on which passengers have access to internet aboard.

Besides a full range of excellent facilities, Princess Sissi boasts a team of well-trained and versatile staff providing guest with best services. Chefs on board are famed to make Hubei local favors, some of which once were served to imperial court in Qing Dynasty. Also other Chinese and Western food will be provided everyday without much repeating during 3 or 4 day journey. Besides, some joyful and educational activities and performance aboard are also scheduled to make guests' cruise trip more enjoyable.

Day 1: Sunday
Board your deluxe M.V. Princess Siss (President No.8) Ship and settle into your comfortable outside cabin to begin your memorable cruise downstream. Depart from Chongqing in the night.

Day 2: Monday
This morning, a shore excursion takes you to view the magnificent 12 -story wooden pavilion, known as" the pearl of Yangtze" in scenic area Shibaozhai.The balance of the day is free to explore the ship's many amenities. Tonight, you are our guests at the captain's cocktail party.
MEALS: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Tuesday
Cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, which is framed by steep mossy cliffs. Then, sail on through Wu Gorge, celebrated for its 12 peaks. At Badong, transfer to a small cruiser for an exciting excursion on Shenlong Stream to view its breathtaking small gorges. Next, sail through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. Finally, pass through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship Lock.

Day 4: Wednesday
This morning, stop at San Dou Ping to view the historic Three Gorges Dam project, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Reboard the ship and sail on to Yichang where you disembark.

Upstream (Yichang->Chongqing)
Day 1: Wednesday
Board your deluxe M.V. Princess Siss(President No.8) and settle into your comfortable outside cabin to begin your memorable cruise upstream.

Day 2: Thursday
Stop at San Dou Ping this morning to see the historic Three Gorges Dam project. Reboard the ship and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship lock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, the longest one of the famed Three Gorges. Xiling Gorge is also known for its danger by its numerous reefs and odd-shaped stones existing in rapid shoals.

Day 3: Friday
Early this morning, delight in Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, transfer to a motorboat for an exciting excursion on either Daning River or Shennong Stream to view their breathtaking small gorges. Reboard the ship and soon pass through the dramatic grandeur of Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most spectacular of the Three Gorges which is framed by steep cliffs.

Day 4: Saturday
Today's shore excursion shows the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze" in scenic area Shibaozhai.

*Alternate shore excursion may visit Fengdu or Wanzhou. Fengdu, the "Ghost City", where the Chinese believe the soul of the dead goes.

Day 5: Sunday
This morning you will cruise through now-gentle countryside to Chongqing, where you disembark the ship.
